CSI Overload

Just got cable back. :( I always hear everyone talking about CSI, this, CSI that. So I decided to check it out. Can someone tell why do you need so many versions of the same show? It's a show, not a football team. Every state does not need one...

I also saw the tail end of Kid Nation. I thought the show was good for kids to learn how to work as a team. I later found out that people were in an uproar and suing. I did not see any abuse happening. But then again I only saw the finale. Will there be a Kid Nation 2? Only if the writer's strike ends.
