Capri Nails - Mountain View - Review

It was a Sunday night and my nails were looking a little rough. A real no-no if you are a esthetician and have to touch people's faces. So I decided to get a mani. Coco salon was not open so I headed to Capri nails. I was scoping out the place. It is pretty big and you can see inside. It almost looks clinical and like a lab. There were about 8 girls working on nails. I thought, these poor girls working so late on a Sunday... They must be tired. But I took a chance and went in. The place is fairly clean. I did not see anything that made me not want to come back. The girl that I had was nice and polite. She even explained what she was saying in Vietnamese to one of the other girls. I'm sorry, but I hate it when someone carries on a conversation in another language for long periods of time.

My nails look great. Facial ready. I would go back again.

At any rate the girl doing my nails said something I thought was really funny. We were talking about massage. She said that there are Chinese places that give massage for $17 for one hour. "How do they survive?!?" That is the same question I ask when I think of all the nail tech.

I wonder who the Chinese massage folks feel sorry for?

CSI Overload

Just got cable back. :( I always hear everyone talking about CSI, this, CSI that. So I decided to check it out. Can someone tell why do you need so many versions of the same show? It's a show, not a football team. Every state does not need one...

I also saw the tail end of Kid Nation. I thought the show was good for kids to learn how to work as a team. I later found out that people were in an uproar and suing. I did not see any abuse happening. But then again I only saw the finale. Will there be a Kid Nation 2? Only if the writer's strike ends.

Walking with Dinosaurs - Get Out

This weekend we took my father-in-law to see 'Walking with Dinosaurs'. He loved it. I guess we do return to being children again. lol.

But on a serious note. Cancer. What is going on?

A few months ago my friend told me her husband has stage 4 lung cancer. Her father-in-law also has it. My other friends father just found out last week he has lung cancer. And finally, my father-in-law has also been diagnosed with lung cancer.

I'd stop breathing but I need the air..... This is madness.

Ojon - You made me Promises Promises

I am a sucker when it comes to promises. Promise me the moon and the stars and soft managable hair and I come undone. So you know I had to pick some of this stuff up at Sephora.

The first thing is the smell... It kinda smells like cigars smoke and chocolate. Rather strange. The consistancy reminds me of Coco butter. You have warm it up in your hands before applying it. I got the get started kit so I have not used the other products yet. I will update once I do.

But for now, it does seem to work well.
